Schwalb Steel Wheels, Steel Castors, Cast Iron Wheels and Castors in Summary
Our cast iron wheels and cast iron castors are made from a special kind of cast iron, available with plain bore or deep groove ball bearings. The plain bore versions are heat-resistant up to + 600° C and therefore appropriate for many special applications. The cast iron rollers have a very low rolling resistance and resistant against metal swarf. The housing of the rollers is made from shiny zinced sheet steel and has a swivel bearing with a double ball-cage assembly. The axles are screwed. Beside that, the cast iron castors series "LM/GG" and "LM/GK" have a heavy sheet steel housing and hardened bearing shells. Because of this, these rollers are extremely resistant against shocks and impacts.
Schwalb Heary-Duty Castors with Cast Iron Wheels or Solid Steel Wheels
For heavy loads up to 2100 kg our heavy-duty castors series "LSO/GK" "BSO/GK" are appropriate. The housing of this roller is a very robust welded steel construction with axial deep groove ball bearing DIN 711 and tapered roller bearing DIN 720. The castors' housings have a grease nipple and are dust and splash proof. They are not only available with cast iron wheels but also with solid steel wheels. These rollers have a load capacity of up to 6000 kg.
Schwalb Solid Steel Wheels: High Load Capacity and Abrasion Resistance
The wheels of our solid steel rollers are turned from steel C45. Special characteristics of the solid steel wheels are the extremly high load capacity and the abrasion resistance. The solid steel wheel itself has a load capacity up to 12000 kg. The steel wheels have a cylindrical tread, that is slightly oiled. For though the load capacity is rather high, the wheels runs very smoothly and have a low rolling resistenance, as we insert double-sealed 2RS ball bearings. The wheels have a long life expectancy.
Our Super Heavy-Duty Castors with solid steel wheels are available with a shiny zinced, robust sheet steel housing, which has a swivel bearing with a double ball-cage assembly and hardened bearing shells. This effects, that the rollers are extemely resistant against shocks and impacts. The axles of the rollers are screwed.
Alternatively, these Super Heavy-Duty Castors with solid steel wheels are available with a load capacity of up to 6000 kg. The housing of this version is a welded steel construction with an axial deep groove ball bearing DIN 711 and a tapered roller bearing DIN 720. The housings have a grease nipple and are dust and splash proof.
Our cast iron rollers and solid steel rollers are available as swivel roller, swivel roller with break or as fixed roller. Also for the heavy-duty sector.
